CCEF Goals for 2008-2012
As Reviewed and Adopted by the Board at the Annual Meeting 1-22-08    

SERVICES:  Support the people we serve by:

    GOAL 1.  Assisting students, teachers, administrators in the CCPS
                        Obj. 1. Increase student scholarships, based on donor interests and CCEF goals
                                    (Target: increase amount available annually by 5%+)
                        Obj. 2. Increase teacher grants, pilot program grants, and special projects in line
                                    with CCPS, CCEF, and donor goals
                                   (Target: increase amount available annually by 5%+)

   GOAL 2.  Helping donors interested in the CCPS by providing additional opportunities
                        Obj.1. Organize new endowment in International and Language Studies
                                    (Target: $400,000 in five years)
                        Obj. 2 Organize new endowment in Career and Technical Studies
                                    (Target: $400,000 in five years)

FINANCES:  Increase our financial strength by:

    GOAL 3.  Increasing support for Foundation operations
                        Obj. 1. Increase business and individual support for Operations
                                    (Target: $35,000 per year for five years)
                       Obj. 2. Increase the Endowment for Operations through giving
                                    (Target: add contributions at rate of 5% per year)
                        Obj. 3. Develop a management fee system for funds maintained
                        Obj. 3. Re-bid portfolio management periodically every 3-4 years

PROCESSES:  Improve the business processes which are key to our success by:

    GOAL 4.  Improving processes for obtaining and managing gifts
                        Obj. 1 Develop and operate gift reception and documentation system
                        Obj. 2. Implement a fundraising software system (Donor and contact
                                    management, donation management, volunteer management,
                                    mailings management, reporting, and accounting management)
                       Obj. 3  Develop a planned giving program

   GOAL 5.  Improving processes for making and managing grants
                        Obj. 1 Develop and operate grants notification and management system

   GOAL 6.  Improving communications with all of our constituencies
                        Obj. 1 Develop and maintain website
                        Obj. 2. Produce Annual Report each year
                        Obj. 3. Develop an open calendar for our key activities and processes
                        Obj. 4. Develop an E-Newsletter
                        Obj. 5. Develop our E-mailing list

PEOPLE:  Maintain the volunteers and staff we need by:

   GOAL 7.  Appropriately renew and train the Board and associated volunteers
                        Obj. 1 Recruit 1-3 new members per year depending on turnover.
                        Obj. 2. Review Board and member performance each year, and act.

   GOAL 8.  Retain appropriate staff 
                        Obj. 1 Review staff/contracted functions each year, and act
