MOUNT KILIMANJARO EXPEDITION:
Climbing Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa, the magnificent free
standing mountain in the world. Is a very rewarding experience of lifetime.
There
are six climbing routes to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro i.e. Marangu route
and Machame are the popular one Western side. There is Shira or Lemosho
route which take more days climbing and good for acclimatization. Normal
climb takes five to six days. But you can have more day as you wish for
acclimatization. It is 8 – 9 day for the western Lemosho – Shira route.
Umbwe routes (5 – 6) days. This route is for strongest climbers as it is
steep and tough.

Climbs re physically demanding and we can not emphasize the importance of physical condition. Furahia Safaris suggest you begin your training at least two month to three prior to departure. Training yourself should be your primary focus. Walking up hill and stair are both excellent ways to condition your body
CLIMBING STAFF
Porters and crew, will be assisting you on the mountain, carrying tents,
food and pitching tent for you. Crew will break tents and always their fast
enough to go ahead of you to set the next camp.
Our
mountain cooks are well trained to make good food which is easy to digest in
high altitude. Clients with special food, they will let us know in advance.

CLIMBING GEAR
Clients needed to bring their own personal equipment, good high
mountaineering gear. Medication if needed as prescribed by your doctor.
The company will write you a list of what your needed to
bring for the
climb.
