MOUNT KILIMANJARO EXPEDITION:

Climbing Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa, the magnificent free standing mountain in the world.  Is a very rewarding experience of lifetime.

There are six climbing routes to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro i.e. Marangu route and Machame are the popular one Western side.  There is Shira or Lemosho route which take more days climbing and good for acclimatization.  Normal climb takes five to six days.  But you can have more day as you wish for acclimatization.  It is 8 – 9 day for the western Lemosho – Shira route.  Umbwe routes (5 – 6) days.  This route is for strongest climbers as it is steep and tough.

Climbs re physically demanding and we can not emphasize the importance of physical condition.  Furahia Safaris suggest you begin your training at least two month to three prior to departure.  Training yourself should be your primary focus.  Walking up hill and stair are both excellent ways to condition your body
