Freddie Ciampi III
Director, Social Graces
Ballroom Dance Studio
Freddie's' love of dancing began when he
joined a performing arts group in college,
which led him on tours throughout the US and
Europe. After receiving his B.S. in business
administration, his interest turned to
ballroom dance by way of a newspaper ad:
"Dance Instructors Wanted - Will Train."
After teaching in dance studios in Salem,
Virginia, and Omaha, Nebraska, Freddie
decided to start his own studio here in
Berryville. As a division of The Blue Ridge
Studio for the Performing Arts, Freddie's
clientele grew steadily until it was
necessary to relocate to a larger space.
At Good Karma Center, Freddie's enthusiasm,
humor, and emphasis on fun have continued to
inspire people of all ages to put on their
dancing shoes.

Kim
Simmons
Instructor, Social Graces
Ballroom Dance Studio
Kim’s interest in dance began with 1st
grade ballet lessons and steadily increased
through 2nd grade square dance
class, the “roller dance” craze of the late
70’s, her discovery of “freestyle” dancing
in the 80’s, “Polka Night” at Interlochen
Arts Camp, continuing education classes in
Modern Dance and African Dance, and finally
her serendipitous introduction to ballroom
dance in 1994.
Kim got her start as a
ballroom instructor at Arthur Murray Studios
in Indianapolis, Indiana where she taught
for 2 years. Including her work as a middle
school music teacher, a church youth choir
director, and an overseas volunteer, Kim has
had over 10 years of experience as an
instructor in various disciplines.
Since relocating to
Virginia from Pennsylvania, Kim was thrilled
to find Social Graces Ballroom Dance Studio
with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. She
has been truly inspired by teaching in an
environment where people are so generous
with their smiles, their laughter, and of
course, their dancing.
